Our professional roof repair services offer many different roofing systems to choose from for all types of houses and buildings. We have roofing systems to fit your style and your budget.
We use updated roofing technologies and our experienced roofing specialists will deliver a high-quality finished product. We will assure you that we will be able to work around your business hours.
When choosing a roof, there are lots of different materials you can use. We offer them all, including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, flat roofing, tile roofing, slate roofing, and wood shake roofing. WeFix Indy is the preferred company for Indianapolis roofing contractors.
Tile roofing is arguably the most popular type of roofing around the world. Roofing tiles are usually made locally from things like slate and terracotta. Sometimes plastic and concrete are also used, and some tiles have a waterproofing glaze applied on top.
Roofing tiles come in every color, shape, and size you need. Tile roofing provides extreme durability, saves you money on your energy bills, and provides excellent protection from the elements.
Why use Tile Roofing?
- Long lifespan (up to 50+ years)
- Wide variety of colors and styles
- Color does not fade
- Great at withstanding the elements
- Low maintenance
Asphalt Shingle Roofing
Adding new asphalt shingles to your home or business is an inexpensive way to make your roof look great. You’ll be blown away at how great your home will look when we install new asphalt shingles in colors that complement the rest of your exterior design.
Why Use Asphalt Shingles?
- Costs less than other types of roofing
- Extremely durable
- Variety of colors
Wood Shingle Roofing / Wood Shake Roofing
A new wood shingle roof looks amazing. There’s nothing quite like it. There’s a few different types of trees used for wood shingles, including Western Red Cedar, Eastern White Cedar, and Alaskan Yellow Cedar.
Wood shingles are fairly smooth and are cut to a standard thickness, while wood shakes are much thicker and rougher, because they are split from the logs.
Why Use Wood Shingle / Wood Shake Roofing?
- Energy efficient
- Resists severe storm damage
- Extremely durable
- Beautiful and elegant
- Lasts up to 50 years
WeFix Indy has been installing top-notch original metal roofing systems for over 15 years. Metal roofing costs more but you will save money over time. You won’t have to install a new roof every 20 years like asphalt shingle roofs.
Metal roofing for residential homes is usually made out of steel, copper, or aluminum, and can be stamped into many different shapes to fit your roof.
Why Use a Metal Roof?
- Energy efficient
- Long lasting warranties
- Fast & easy install
- Resists fire
A slate roof sets your roof apart with beauty and elegance. Slate is extremely durable and requires much less maintenance than other types of roofing materials. Slate can be more expensive than other roofing materials, but it is a luxury item that will increase the value of your home.
Why Use Slate Roofing?
- Requires no sealant
- Resists algae, moss, and fungus growth
- Resists acid rain stains
- One of a kind look
Flat Roofing / Rolled Roofing
Flat roofing / rolled roofing is used when the roof has a very low pitch. Wood and asphalt shingles are great for pitched roofs. But flat roofs are more likely to have water damage, so a different material is required. Flat roofing (aka rolled roofing) can last up to 25 years with proper installation and maintenance.
Why Use Flat Roofing / Rolled Roofing?
- Easy to walk on
- Less dangerous than sloped roofs
- No fumes or chemicals
What to Ask Your Roofing Contractor After Storm Damage
What to Ask When You Need Roof Repair Services
When you’re looking for roof repair services after a storm you only want the best. Here are the questions you need to ask to find the best roofing contractor.
We’re never prepared when Mother Nature strikes. Storm damage causes millions of dollars of damage each year. And the repair process can be both lengthy and costly.
On average, you’ll have to pay around $6,000 to repair your roof, and chances are insurance won’t cover all the repairs. Yikes.
The cost of repairs can really eat into your savings or emergency fund. That’s why you’ll want to make sure your roofing contractor is someone who you can trust, and who won’t rip you off.
The most important step of finding the perfect roofing contractor is knowing what to ask. We’re here to help!
Here are a few questions to ask your contractor about roof repair.
What to Ask When You Need Roof Repair Services
Can I please see some local recommendations?
The first question you’ll need to ask is one of the most important. In order to establish a level of trust with your roof contractor, be sure that you get at least four or five different testimonials from customers.
While resorting to Yelp or Google reviews may be tempting, people only tend to focus on the negative. These are factors to consider, but be sure you’re collecting a large enough sample size. People tend to lash out on the Internet and may not be the most trustworthy sources.
Ask your roof repair specialist to provide you with a few testimonials. Bonus points if they can give you the contact information of customers with a similar roof type.
How long have you worked in this area?
You’ll want to make sure that your roof repair specialist has worked in the area for a while. Ask how long your contractor has worked in the area and what kind of projects they’ve completed in the area.
Why? We have a reason, stick with us.
Some Home Owner’s Associations tend to be sticklers about what can and can’t go into a roof. Odds are, your local contractor is already familiar with your neighborhood’s restrictions.
This will keep you out of trouble with your HOA and make sure that your roof looks great at the same time.
And it doesn’t hurt that you can feel great about supporting a local business!
Do you price match your competitors’ rates?
Chances are you weren’t expecting to have to pay for roof repair. Accordingly, you’re going to want to stretch every dollar as much as possible.
Ask your contractor if they can price match their competitors’ rates. Even if they have set rates, it certainly doesn’t hurt to ask.
What type of roofing insurance do you use?
It’s important that your contractor and their crew have a good insurance plan in place.
Make sure that your roof repair contractor has fully insured his or her crew.
Should your contractor dodge the question or not give specific answers, walk out the door. It doesn’t matter how good their prices are if they’re not being safe.
If an injury occurs at the worksite and the crew isn’t insured, you may put yourself in a sticky situation and create a liability. And if you think roofing is expensive, imagine facing a potential lawsuit.
Get the name of your contractor’s insurance company, as well as any information possible about their coverage. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to have the contact information stored away, either.
What is the estimated time frame for project completion?
This is an answer you’ll want to get in writing. Obviously, there are certain circumstances that may delay a project. Be it an injured worker, poor weather, or a lack of supplies, things do happen.
If you have a written estimate from your roofer, you can hold them to their word should things go awry.
Be sure to keep a file somewhere in your home with all pertinent information about the project, including the aforementioned written estimate and an estimate relating to our next tip…
Can you please provide me with a detailed copy of your cost estimate?
We’ve talked a lot about pricing structures so far, but we haven’t even mentioned supplies.
Ask your contractor to provide you with a hard copy of his or her project cost estimate. That way, should any unnecessary or confusing charges come up, you can refer back to the estimate.
And don’t settle for a simple figure, either. Make sure that the estimate is detailed. Everything needs to be accounted for, from labor to every square foot of shingle.
What type of warranty do you offer?
You’ll want to make sure your beautiful new roof is safely and thoroughly installed. Even if you’ve found a roof repair specialist you love and trust, their crew may not be as reputable.
According to GAF, 2/3 of issues people encounter with roofing repair are the direct result of poor work. Those are pretty overwhelming odds, so be sure you’re protecting your family and home.
While the warranty process can be a bit complicated, ask your contractor to walk you through the process.
Can you please provide me with a list of your crew?
At WeFix Indy, we believe in honesty and good, hard work above all else. But some other companies may not feel the same and could attempt to raise your costs by adding crew members.
With the roof repair projects already costing so much, you’re not going to want to shell out anything other than what is absolutely necessary.
Get a list of crew members before your contractor’s crew even steps foot on your property.
This can also provide you with some peace of mind. You’ll know who is around, and how many crew members to expect at your home at any given time.
With over 15 years of business throughout Indianapolis, the WeFix Indy crew will give you the best rates and friendliest service.
If you need a roof repair, you can’t settle for anything less than the best. Get in touch today for a quote, and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours or less!
